Summary:

This panel will provide an overview of the current economic crisis, and how it impacts the role of the chief financial officer (“CFO”).  We will focus on how to not only survive the current economic crisis, but how to develop a long-term plan that will help your organizations to exploit opportunities that emerge from every crisis, and to emerge stronger than you were prior to the crisis.  This program will offer two CPE credits.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

Understand the common challenges faced by chief financial officer and the different and evolving models of the CFO role.

Manage revised expectations from the board and corporate shareholders

Formulate a plan to deal with the increase complexity and breadth of the role of the CFO during times of crisis, while recognizing the resource limitations impacting the CFOs ability to accomplish tasks.

Strategize on how CFOs must lead their organizations through this time of volatility and crisis

Understand conflicting challenges in balancing short-term (the next two quarters), medium term (the two years) and long-term perspectives.

Formulate a plan for financial stability and other strategic initiatives to help their organizations emerge from the current financial crisis stronger and more nimble than their competition.
